Every toolbox we fill and every skill we teach is part of a bigger story — one that doesn’t always make it to the photos.

Behind the scenes at The Desk, we support the people who carry the weight for others: the ones who work with trauma-impacted youth, care for kids in crisis, or hold broken systems together with grit and heart. They don’t ask for much — but when their printer breaks, their database crashes, or their paperwork piles up, we step in. Quietly. Pro-bono. On purpose.

Because the work they do is too important to stall out over small things.

Your giving helps us keep them moving. It covers the cost of last-minute fixes, tech that actually works, and the kind of behind-the-scenes support that makes frontline care possible. You won’t see this part in our build logs or social posts — but it’s real, and it matters.

  • Your giving supports hands-on work with youth, women, and families — from mentorship and tool-based training to behind-the-scenes support for those working with trauma-impacted children. Some dollars buy toolboxes. Some fix broken systems. All of it helps people build skills, confidence, and capability.

  • Right now, giving to Walen Designs is not tax-deductible. We’re a mission-driven LLC, not a nonprofit — because that structure lets us move fast, stay hands-on, and show up for people without jumping through red tape. We are planning to move The Foundry work to a non-profit section as soon as we can get approved. We will let you know as soon as that happens.
